Tucson, AZ – January 14, 2008 – Mr. Paul DeHerrera has been appointed to the position of Chief Operating Officer for Universal Avionics. Mr. DeHerrera will oversee Universal Avionics at all levels including; Manufacturing, Marketing and Engineering Support in Tucson, as well as Engineering Research and Development activities in Redmond, Washington and Duluth Georgia along with Universal’s support activities in Wichita, KS and Basel Switzerland. Mr. DeHerrera began his career at Universal Avionics as Manager of OEM Marketing and most recently served in the position of Vice President of Marketing and Product Support. Paul DeHerrera brings 30+ years of Avionics experience to his new position. He is a FAA licensed Pilot, holds an Airframe and Power Plant License, BS in Electrical Engineering Technology and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Paul most recently served as a senior Board of Director and past Chairman of the AEA and has served on numerous committees including aviation tort reform.

Prior to joining Universal Avionics in 1994, Paul DeHerrera was the V.P. of Maintenance and Avionics overseeing their activities at the Fix Based Operations for AMR Combs, a wholly owned subsidiary of AMR Corporation.
