Tucson, AZ – October 20, 2009 – For the second year in a row, Stevens Aviation earns Universal
Avionics’ 2009 Top Dealer award. Every year at the National Business Aircraft Association (NBAA) Annual Convention, Universal Avionics Systems Corporation recognizes one dealer out of several hundred in its authorized dealer network that achieves outstanding sales performance. Today in the Universal Avionics booth, the 2009 Top Dealer award was presented to Stevens Aviation to recognize the company’s dedication to supporting Universal Avionics’ line of advanced avionics equipment.
Universal Avionics President and CEO Joachim L. “Ted” Naimer presented the award to Neal McGreil, Chief Operating Officer of Stevens Aviation. Also in attendance for Universal were Senior Corporate Vice President Don Berlin, Chief Operating Officer Paul DeHerrera, and Vice President of Marketing Dan Reida.
Steven's impressive sales and marketing efforts for flat panel display upgrades in its B200 and B300 programs, and its Lear4Ever upgrade program provided a steady stream of orders for the EFI-890R Flat Panel Display Systems and strong WAAS/SBAS-FMS sales. To date, Steven's has completed multiple tail to tail programs which include a three-panel suite of Universal Avionics EFI-890R Flat Panel Displays. The company also unveiled its Lear4Ever program last year, which offers Lear 35/35A operators a package of advanced cockpit upgrades, including an array of safety-enhancing options such as Universal’s WAAS/SBAS-FMS, Terrain and Warning Awareness System (TAWS) and Vision-1® Synthetic Vision System. A unique Lear 60 program which features a single MFD-890R upgrade, offers a flexible upgrade path for operators looking to upgrade in the near future.
Dan Reida, Vice-President of Marketing at Universal notes: “We are very pleased with Stevens’ success. The entire team is extremely professional and has demonstrated a great level of expertise in the installation of our products. Their proactive sales and marketing efforts have proven to be very successful; we are proud of the partnership we share with Stevens Aviation.”
