Universal Avionics introduces an exciting new line of
Cockpit Voice (CVR) and Flight Data (FDR) recorders.
Featuring five model options, the CVFDR offers a combination
of cockpit voice and flight data recording capabilities, as well
as an internal Recorder Independent Power Supply (RIPS)
option. With the flexibility to customize recording capabilities,
the CVFDR truly meets the needs of any aircraft operator.
The all-new CVFDR was developed in compliance with the
newest, most rigorous testing and crash survivability standards
stipulated by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and
other aviation authorities around the world. Operators can now
meet all published and emerging regulations for cockpit voice
and digital flight data recording with the convenience of a small,
lightweight unit. Weighing less than nine pounds with RIPS,
Universal’s CVFDR is the lightest CVR/FDR combo unit available.
The CVFDR’s internal RIPS option provides a backup power
source in the event of a main power failure and allows aircraft
operators to meet the FAA’s latest RIPS requirement without
the additional size, weight and complexity of an external RIPS
unit. Universal’s unique proprietary technology gives you
this capability without the headache of maintaining internal
batteries.
The CVFDR provides twenty-five hours of flight data recording
and interfaces with data downloader tools to allow quick
download of data from virtually any aircraft between flights.
The unit features an Ethernet interface for on-aircraft data
downloading. All of these features combine to make the
CVFDR the most advanced and convienent solution available
today.
